The GS seismic station is the fifth generation inISSI's range of digital seismic data acquisition units. It is the basic node of the Integrated Seismic System (ISS) - a real-time seismic monitoring network. It is primarily designed to form part of the ISS, where a permanent communication connection exists between the GS station and a central computer (network mode). However, it can also act in stand-alone mode, receiving time synchronisation via GPS satellites (if possible) and storing seismic data to a removable USB device.
