GS seismic station

The GS seismic station is the fifth generation inISSI's range of digital seismic data acquisition units. It is the basic node of the Integrated Seismic System (ISS) - a real-time seismic monitoring network. It is primarily designed to form part of the ISS, where a permanent communication connection exists between the GS station and a central computer (network mode). However, it can also act in stand-alone mode, receiving time synchronisation via GPS satellites (if possible) and storing seismic data to a removable USB device.

Features:

  • Small, light, rugged and low power (< 0.6 W/channel)
  • 6 seismic sensor channels
  • Multiple logical channels
  • Geophone, broadband, force balance or peizoelectric digitizer interface
  • Compatible with Smart seismic sensors (self-conguring)
  • Wide dynamic range: 24-bit, over-sampled data (120 dB @ 48kHz, 150
    dB @ 50 Hz)
  • Software selectable sampling rates from 50 Hz to 48,000 Hz
  • Continuous and/or triggered recording
  • Communications via RS232, RS485, PSK or Ethernet for telemetry and/or setup
  • Local data storage on USB2.0 device for o-line retrieval and processing
  • HTML health monitors, via Ethernet device running a web browser
  • Geophone calibration functions
  • Built-in GPS
